Control unit P with microprocessor technology provides precise digital temperature control and offers numerous additional functions: the programmer enables thermostating tasks to be run automatically with up to 99 temperature-time segments, repeat functions, and additional selectable tolerance band monitoring. In case of external control the internal bath temperature can be limited independently of other parameters. In addition, the difference between the inflow and product temperatures is limited to protect the material. The integrated RS 232 interface allows the output of large amounts of data via PC, and the control via the LAUDA Wintherm software opens up a whole new range of functions. Heating thermostats feature the standard option of controlled cooling via the control output for a solenoid valve, to achieve quicker heating up and improved constancy of temperature, and thus reduce the consumption of expensive mains water.
